"Horrid Henry and the Best Boy's Club Sleepover" is the second episode in Series 2 and the 54th episode overall.

Synopsis

Perfect Peter's having a sleepover! Horrid Henry's not having any more sleepovers due to his trouble making behavior! But Henry has a plan to crash the sleepovers away, but his plan had got him into trouble too along with Perfect Peter and His Friends!

Plot

The episode starts with Henry running away from Margaret who was about to throw a pile of mud at him. Margaret says that if Henry puts worms in her school bag again but she doesn’t get to finish when Henry acts sarcastic saying that next time it’ll be slugs and ran into the house with Margaret throwing the mud at the wall and saying “OH! I’II GET YOU HENRY!!” Just then Henry hears sounds coming from the kitchen where Peter, Sam, Gordon and Ted baking fairy cakes with Mum and he bargains in the door causing the boys to drop their cakes on the floor and table with mum calling “Henry!” With Henry saying “oops!” And peter explains that their making fairy cakes and Sam says that their gonna decorate them with fairies and Ted says that they’re gonna decorate them with pink bunnies too and it’s revealed that Peter is having a sleepover and Henry was about to ask Mum if he could have a sleepover too but mum said no and if he thinks about it for one minute, he'll know why. a montage plays showing when Henry trashed Greedy Graham ‘s bathroom and spray painted with Rude Ralph and made noise in his fort with dad yelling “THAT’S ENOUGH HENRY!!” But Henry still nagged mum about a tiny little sleepover and Mum responded with “N -O spells no henry!" And Henry screams “It's not fair!!” Opening the title card and the scene pans to his room where Henry is playing Killer Boy Rats on his boombox and Mum comes in to ask Henry to turn the music off because Peter and his friends don’t like that kind of music and Henry responds with “so I don’t like them…” and Mum says “Don't Be Horrid Henry! “ and leaves as Henry breaks the fourth wall by “Peter and his friends huh. what do they know about sleepovers anyway?”. Then Henry sees Peter and his friends in their pajamas holding their toothbrushes then he asked 'What do you think you're doing?' and Peter tells Him they brushed their teeth with Gordon adding they washed behind their ears and Ted also says they're going to bed now but Henry responded 'Bed?! Ha, but t's only half past six. Aren't you going to have some fun first?' and Gordon says 'Oh yes' then Peter and Sam tell him that they're going to have a bed inspecting to make sure their beds are look neat and tidy then giggle and head into Peter's room as Henry watches them. In his room, Peter and his friends finished making their bed then start to have a singsong before lights out. The four boys began singing Frere Jacques when Henry bursts into the room and grabs their bed covers, mattresses, and pillows building a den making this the first rule of sleepover and you can blast off into outer space too much for Gordon's amusement. Peter tells Gordon not to listen to Henry because he's only trying to spoil their fun but Henry objects by calling Peter ungrateful worm and says he's just showing him and his friends how to have a proper sleepover. When Henry asked who's for a trip to the farthest reaches of the Outer Spongonian belt, Gordon volunteers and gets pulled into the den with him. The boys imagine the den is a rocket ship beginning for take off and make spaceship nosies as Peter, Sam and Ted continue singing Frere Jacques together. The screen transports into Outer space where Henry and Gordon are soaring through the galaxy then Gordon asked if they're exceeding the speed limit and Henry groans. Then Gordon comes out of the den telling the other excited, thanks Henry and asked what's next then Peter suggest pressing flowers but Henry says they could tell in ghost stories in the den so Gordon along with Ted enter and Henry lets him in too. Downstairs, Mum and Dad were watching TV in the living room together when they hear wailing noises coming from upstairs, Dad thinks it's just the boys having fun but Mum decided to go up and check on them just in case. Mum knocks on the door and asked Peter if everything's alright in his room, then Henry fools her impersonating him responded 'Uh yes, Mummy, we're telling ghost stories' and Mum buys it then bids the boys goodnight. The screen pans over to Henry covering Peter and Sam's mouths then Gordon and Ted come out of the den saying that was really scary and ask if they can have some more. Then Peter suggested a fairy story instead but Henry interrupts saying 'Right, time for a midnight feast' because no sleepover is a proper sleepover without one. Henry leads the way followed by Gordon and Ted then Sam pulls Peter along for the ride. So the boys all sneak down the stairs quietly while snickering then Dad tells Mum he just heard something so he went to go investigate. In the Kitchen, Henry opens the cupboard to look in as Peter says 'This isn't good for my nerves' warns Henry it's Dad coming their way so the 5 boys each find hiding places and Dad looks in to find only Fluffy who just crawling through the cat door. After Dad leaves, Fluffy sees the boys come out of hiding and goes back outside again. Gordon says 'Phew, that was close' with Henry adding 'Yeah, it was. Thanks Fluffy'. Peter says they're all being really naughty but then Gordon bangs his head knocking the table over and the dishes, silverware flying then Sam catches them but knocks a bowl of oranges in the air too. They all catches one of them but Gordon steps on the pedal opening the bin lid launching an orange and Henry jumps to catch it but hits the fridge causing it to shake and when he opens it, food fall out on the floor creating a huge mess. Peter says fluffy cakes aren't in the fridge but Henry says there's other stuff in here and pulls out a carton of orange juice instead. Peter says they already brush their teeth then Henry reminds him that he's having to sleepover and he says 'Yes I am having a sleepover, Woohoo!'. Gordon finds the fairy cakes in the cabinet and Henry finds Mum's secret dash for the midnight feast but Peter asked him about all the mess they made and he says they'll clean it up later and takes the boys out of the kitchen. Peter follows while looking at the mess and shutting the door behind him. Soon the boys made it back to Peter's room with the feast then shuts the door. Henry says 'I knew you'd get the hang of sleepover in the end, Peter. Next's up, Bedroom Trampolining' then he and the best boys jump on their beds. Downstairs again, Mum and Dad once again hears Peter and his friends jumping so Mum goes up to check on them again just to be sure they wouldn't jump on Peter's bed. Mum knocks on the door asked Peter if everything's alright in there and he says 'Yes Mum' then she tells them all to go to sleep now. Ted, Gordon and Sam giggle then Peter asked Henry what's next and he says 'The Grand Finale!' then takes the boys to the bathroom to play pirates using toothbrushes and they sword fight one another. Then Peter uses a towel to swing onto the bath tub next to Henry but then he stomps on it so hard, it starts to shake and falls into the living room crushing the TV along with Henry. Mum and Dad both see Henry and Peter who falls in too then Dad looks up at the ceiling hole and asked Ted, Gordon Sam what they got to say for themselves and they all said 'Thank you very very much for having us'. And so Dad angrily goes to call Ted, Sam and Gordon's parents to come and get them immediately and Mum bans Henry and Peter from having anymore sleepovers ever. With that, the two brothers both scream 'NOOOOOO!' ending the episode.

Trivia

• When Mum declines Henry's request for a sleepover, a montage of clips is shown to show all he has done in past sleepovers. One of the clips is of Henry playing with Greedy Graham, flooding his bathroom with soapy bubbles. The second clip had Henry and Rude Ralph spray painting the walls. These clips first appeared in "Horrid Henry's Sleepover" when Mum tells him that everyone has had him over for a sleepover. Strangely, the last clip is the footage of Henry and Rude Ralph performing in the fort which was from “Horrid Henry's Horrid Heroes", but this is not considered a sleepover.
• Moody Margaret only appears at the beginning, then she's absent for the rest of the episode.
• This episode is the third time Peter got punished. The first time was "Horrid Henry's Horrid Revenge", and the second time was "Horrid Henry's Fairy Dance".
• This episode might have had the most words in the title, along with "Horrid Henry and the Day Of The Dinosaur" and "Horrid Henry and the Raid of the Century". The titles have eight letters in them.
• It was Peter's fault that the bathtub fell because he was the one who jumped on it.
• It is unknown how the bathtub fell down into the living room since no one was playing in the bathtub before.

Errors

• One of the clips in the montage shows the footage of Henry and Rude Ralph performing in the fort which was used in "Horrid Henry's Horrid Heroes", but this is not considered a sleepover.
  • Following that, when Dad said, 'That's enough, Henry!', he is looking up, but the sound is not coming from Henry's room.
• It would be impossible for the bathtub to fall into the living room and crush the television because it should have fallen in the kitchen, because in "Horrid Henry's Diary" when the bath water leaks through, it leaks through to the kitchen.
• When Henry and the Best Boys are in the kitchen, Tidy Ted was wearing his normal clothes.
• The title should be 'Horrid Henry and the Best Boys Club Sleepover'.
