"Perfect Peter's Pen Pal" is the seventh episode in Series 2 and the 59th episode overall.
Synopsis[]
Perfect Peter's perfect pen pal Super Sammy comes to stay, but is he really super, or just downright Slimy? Is he as sweet and innocent as he makes out?
Plot[]
One morning, Henry was checking himself in the mirror when Peter comes in to brush his teeth humming while another boy was singing Frère Jacques but then Henry shouts 'STOP IT!!!' and Peter finishes the song making him growl in anger. At breakfast in the kitchen, Henry wanted to go to the Atom Smasher this afternoon but Mum says they can’t go because Sammy is feeling a little delicate and that he got something else special to do instead which is cleaning. Mum also says that they are all going to clean the house together much to Henry’s dismay. Sammy has the whole bowl of cereal and eats Henry's only piece making him scream 'NOOOOOOO!!!' and open the title card.
Perfect Peter's perfect pen pal, Super Sammy, comes to stay for a few days, but it is yet to be determined whether he is 'Super' or just downright 'Slimy' and Horrid Henry was going to find out. In the episode, Sammy gets Henry into trouble by making him lose control of the hoover covering Peter in dust, giving spider juice to Mum instead of drinking it himself and making him lose his balance while carrying the stacks of clothes. When Henry tries to prank Sammy with a steel spring in the sofa and hides, Dad comes in by mistake, sits down and lands face first on the cake he just brought in. Sammy even cleaned Henry's room and copies his transforming fantasies. Peter thought he was his best friend in the whole wide world but he tried to steal Peter's stamp album and he explains everything. Before Sammy could make his escape, Mum caught him red-handed, subsequently sending him home for good. In the kitchen, Peter and Henry eat ice cream with Mum saying 'No more house guests for a while, I think', but then Peter reminded her that his new pen pal, Helpful Hans is coming to stay next week and says he's his bestest friend in the whole wide world With that, Henry says, 'Oh no, not again.' in despair, ending the episode.

Trivia[]
Roly Mo appears.
- Henry appears holding a toy of Roly Mo from The Fimbles and its spin-off, The Roly Mo Show. Roly Mo appears again in the form of a snowglobe in Horrid Henry Says Goodbye. He is also mentioned in Horrid Henry Goes to the Movies, where Prissy Polly says, 'Hold on a Roly Mo.'. Roly Mo can appear as he, along with the two shows he appears in, was produced by Novel Entertainment, which also produces the Horrid Henry TV series.
- This is the only episode when Slimy Sammy transforms.
- It is also the second time someone other than Henry transforms, the first being Miss Battle Axe in Horrid Henry and the Injection.
- This is Slimy Sammy's only proper appearance. He has made a couple of cameo appearances in the later series, but no speaking roles and nothing more than brief cameos since this episode.
Errors[]
- Sammy complains that Henry is blocking the TV, even though it isn't on.
- When Henry walks into the kitchen at breakfast, the chair next to Peter is empty. In the next shot when Mum introduces Henry to Sammy and Henry runs out of cereal, Sammy is sitting there.
- When Henry hides behind the flower pot in the living room, the wooden table has moved to near the radiator and the cloth is gone, but in the next scene when Dad appears with the Cream Cake, it is back to its original position and the cloth has returned in the next scene.
- Dad's lips don't move when he says "Cream".
- When Dad is launched into the cake, he is smiling in one frame.
- When Sammy throws the last Sweet Tweet in his mouth, his mouth doesn't move
